The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is being felt around the world and by so many. More than ever, our communities need us and are counting on our support. This is the rationale behind the Biogen Foundation $10M global commitment to address the immediate needs of communities and hospital systems.
Biogen Canada is extremely proud to announce that the HelpAge Canada charity that works in partnership with other organizations in other provinces to improve and maintain the quality of life of vulnerable older persons and their communities will be receiving a grant through the Biogen Foundation. The grant will support the important work the HelpAge Canada Seniors Can! Emergency Relief program is doing right now. HelpAge Canada is working hand in hand with partner agencies across the country preparing and delivering food, hygiene products, medications and offering personal care to isolated seniors in our country’s most economically depressed areas.
These essentials for Canadian seniors are much needed during this very critical time in our history and is why Biogen Canada stands united with HelpAge Canada. Caring for the most vulnerable Canadians who have the greatest need right now is a priority. With this grant, we aim to help to expand the program’s reach to bring needed essentials to more seniors across the country and ensure the staff and volunteers providing these services have the necessary personal protection equipment and supplies.
